ID HS: Gary Wheeler Named New Eagle Head Coach

Eagle High School has named Gary Wheeler as the new head coach of its boys varsity lacrosse team.
Wheeler, a former assistant coach at Regis Jesuit in Colorado, replaces Greg Keyes.
Wheeler has 15 years coaching experience, including four years as a head coach. He was named Colorado Lacrosse Association Coach of the Year in 1995, according to an Eagle news release, and he also has coached high school football in Alaska.
“Gary wants a well-conditioned team that can run,” reads a statement on the Eagle men’s lacrosse Web site. “We’re going to take it to the TVLL starting next season,” the statement says.
Wheeler is one of four new coaches that has been hired by the Eagle program for the 2010 season.
