Arapahoe senior middie Dylan Smith has committed to play NCAA Division III lacrosse at Whittier College.

Smith said he also considered York College and Dominican (N.Y.) before he settled on the Southern California-based school.

“I liked the location and the coaching staff and just the team as a whole,” Smith said. “I loved that it was a small school and its academics.”

Smith said he is amped to take his game to the next level, and he will try to contribute to the team as quickly as possible.

“I’m excited,” he said. “I hope to play a fair amount my freshman year. I think it’ll be a fun transition.”
