Denver East senior middie Dylan Barrett has committed to play NCAA Division III lacrosse at Bates College.

“He’s an athlete,” Denver East head coach Jon Barocas said. “He’s the quickest kid on the team when he turns it on, plus he’s very strong, left and right. He’s not afraid to turn it on, and he’s got a great shot on the run.”

Barocas added that he believes Barrett will be an impact player at the Lewiston, Maine-based school.

“Not only is he a great athlete, he’s a very smart kid,” Barocas said. “I think he’s going to do very, very well. It’s a perfect fit for him.”
