Defending NCAA Division I champion Northwestern will face Denver on Friday Jan. 23 at Rancho Bernardo High School in the opening game of the 2009 Surfside Lacrosse Cup.

The contest will be a regular-season game with the opening draw scheduled for 8 p.m. The game kicks off a three-day event which will also involve a high school tournament, a college club tournament, several clinics and games involving the Canadian National Team.

Tickets for the three-day event cost $15.
