NEV BOYS: Conner White Commits to Mount St. Joseph

March 17th, 2009

Palo Verde senior attackman Conner White has committed to play NCAA Division III lacrosse at the College of Mount St. Joseph.

White said he also considered UNLV, Westminster and Fontbonne but picked the Cincinnati-based school because he liked the atmosphere.

“I like the coach,” White said. “He’s a good guy, the players are all nice and I liked the town. They really made me feel like it was a family.”

White is the second Las Vegas player to commit to an NCAA Division III program, joining Centennial senior middie Sean Kulczyk, who is heading to Fontbonne in St. Louis.

White added that he thinks he will make a smooth transition to the college level.

“The game’s a lot faster, but I think I’ll have an easy time doing that,” he said. “I’ll work a lot harder.”
