Cedar Park senior goalie Colton Yarborough has committed to play NCAA Division III lacrosse at Ferrum College.

Ferrum head coach Nat St. Laurent said Yarborough is exactly the kind of player he wants to bring to the Southern Virginia-based school.

“He’s a very upbeat kid and extremely coachable,” St. Laurent said. “He’s a kid who’s going to embrace being a leader. He’s got a good field sense in the clearing game, and there’s no question about his ability to play. He’s going to compete for a starting job right away.”

St. Laurent said he first saw Yarborough play at the Texas 99 tournament over the summer. And he was impressed.

“He made all the saves he needed to make, and he has the ability to make great saves when needed,” St. Laurent said.
