COL GIRLS: Chelsea Cyester Signs With New Hampshire

Chaparral senior middie Chelsea Cyester has signed a national letter of intent to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at the University of New Hampshire.

Cyester said she also considered St. Mary’s and Duquesne but chose New Hampshire because she felt camaraderie with her future teammates and she liked the scenery.

“When I went to New Hampshire, it just felt right,” Cyester said. “I loved all the girls, and the campus was beautiful. I couldn’t pass that up.”

Cyester added that she believes she will surpass expectations when she gets to New England. As a junior, Cyester was a U.S. Lacrosse All-American honorable-mention selection.

“I honestly think I’m going to be underestimated a little bit because of my size and because I’m from the West Coast,” Cyester said. “But for me, that’s the most exciting part, because I’m going to be able to surprise them, show what the West Coast is all about and bring something different to the East Coast game.”
