SoCAL GIRLS: Charlotte Huguenor Commits to St. Mary's

Santa Fe Christian senior attack-middie Charlotte Huguenor has committed to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at St. Mary’s College.
Huguenor, who didn’t start playing the sport until her sophomore year in high school, said she also considered Southern Methodist and Denver, but settled on the Moraga, Calif.-based institution because she liked head coach Lauren Uhr.
“She’s really amazing,” Huguenor said. “I did a clinic with her in Santa Barbara, and she’s an amazing athlete and an amazing coach. She pretty much sold me."
Huguenor is the 36th senior female player this season from West of the Mississippi River to either sign a letter of intent or verbally commit to play NCAA Division I lacrosse, an all-time high. She is also the ninth senior from San Diego County who will move on to play lacrosse at the Division I level.
Huguenor added that she is amped to make the transition from the high school to the college level.
“I’m ready for the tougher competition and the work, and I’m really, really, really excited,” Huguenor said. “I love the sport, and I’m definitely ready to take the next step and make it part of my life for the next four years.”
