TEX GIRLS: Celita Gorman Signs With Jacksonville

The Woodlands senior defender Celita Gorman has signed a national letter of intent to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at Jacksonville University.
Gorman said she also considered NCAA Division III Roanoke College before she settled on the Northern Florida-based school. Gorman, who inked with the Dolphins during the early-signing period, is one of 18 players in Jacksonville’s first recruiting class.
She is the only West Side player picked up by Jacksonville.
“I was really excited about how it was a new program and how I would be able to help build from the start,” Gorman said.
Gorman, a WSL Elite 25 honorable-mention selection, added that she is ready to make the transition from high school to college.
“I think it’s going to be a lot of hard work, but I’m really excited for the next level of play,” Gorman said. “I’ve worked really hard to get to where I am, and I’m going to continue to do the best that I can.”
