MINN GIRLS: Caz-Marie Norwich Signs With Syracuse

Eden Prairie senior attack Caz-Marie Norwich has signed a national letter of intent to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at Syracuse University.

Norwich, who will be receiving a partial athletic scholarship, said she also considered North Carolina, George Mason and William & Mary but settled on the upstate New York school after making her only official visit.

“I just loved it there,” Norwich said. “I loved the campus, and I loved the coaches. They’re really nice and funny, and I just liked the atmosphere when I went there. It clicked right away.”

Norwich, who is the West’s No. 8 ranked girls player, said she is scared at the prospect of transitioning to the college game. But it’s a challenge she thinks she can handle.

“I’m nervous, but I’m really excited too,” Norwich said. “I’ve worked really hard for this. I got this far. I think I can get further.”
