La Costa Canyon senior defenseman Cameron Revere has committed to play NCAA Division III lacrosse at Stevens Tech.

Revere said he chose the Hoboken, N.J.-based school over the New York Institute of Technology and Ithaca College.

“The location is absolutely amazing, and the team is pretty legit as well,” Revere said. “Academics is what I’m mainly going to school for, and academics is their main focus.”

Revere said he expects there to be a transition, especially when it comes to the far cooler winters in New Jersey compared with his home in San Diego County.

“Definitely, it’s going to be a lot harder than where I’ve been playing,” Revere said. “They’re not much different, but weather might play a little bit of a factor. It’s going to be way colder.”
