Stadium senior attackman-middie Bryce Busey has committed to play NCAA Division II lacrosse at Lenoir-Rhyne University.

Busey said he also considered Lees McRae, Pfeiffer, Notre Dame de Namur and Florida Southern before settling on the Hickory, N.C.-based school. Lenoir-Rhyne will field a lacrosse program for the first time in the spring of 2011 and be coached by Greg Paradine.

“It just felt like it was the right fit,” Busey said. “Coach Paradine came in from UNC, so it looks like it’ll be a good program.”

Busey added that he is pumped to take his game to the next level.

“I’m excited for it,” he said. “It’ll be a lot faster pace, and the skill level will be higher. I’m looking forward to stepping up my game and playing at the next level.”
