TEX BOYS: Brendan Schindel Leads Stony Point Past Reagan

Providence-bound senior middie Brendan Schindel registered a game-high six points on two goals and four assists to lead unbeaten Stony Point to a 10-5 victory over Reagan in a Texas High School Lacrosse League Division II game Saturday afternoon.
Junior middie Brad Johnson added five points on four goals and one assist, junior attackman Drake Mercer scored three goals and junior attackman Austin Fox had one to help the Tigers (3-0) win their third straight.
Defensively, senior goalie Matt Peterson saved 15 shots.
Stony Point has outscored its first three opponents, 45-9.
In defeat, senior middie Walker Flieller scored twice for Reagan, which fell to 1-1.
The game was tied, 1-1, at the end of the first quarter, Stony Point led 4-2 at halftime and the Tigers led 6-3 going into the fourth quarter.
Stony Point led by as many as six goals in the fourth after Fox scored with 1:07 remaining in regulation to give the Tigers a 10-4 lead.
“I think we’re doing a lot of good things defensively,” Stony Point head coach Lewis Wright said. “We have good communication, and we’re playing real fast on defense. Offensively, I think we were little off today.”
