ID BOYS: TVLL Playoffs: Boise Blasts Outmatched Skyview

Senior attackman Mac Whibbles scored a game-high four goals to lead top-seeded Boise to a 13-3 victory over eighth-seeded Skyview in a Treasure Valley Lacrosse League quarterfinal Tuesday.
Senior attackman Sam Hardison added four points on two goals and two assists, and junior middie Sayre Thomas had four points on a goal and three assists to help the Braves (14-2) win their 12th straight and advance to the TVLL semifinals. Boise is 13-0 this season against Idaho competition.
Boise will next play fifth-seeded Meridian, which beat fourth-seeded Eagle, 6-4. In the teams’ only regular-season meeting, Boise beat Meridian, 12-5, on May 8.
The TVLL semifinals are scheduled for Thursday May 20.
Junior middie Xanti Tullis-See scored twice, and four others had a goal apiece to round out the offense for Boise.
Skyview, which was making its first playoff appearance in program history, finished the season 5-8.
Boise led 6-1 at the end of the first quarter, 8-1 at halftime and 11-3 at the end of the third quarter.
“It was a good warm-up game,” Boise head coach Sean St. Johns said. “The starters played well, everybody got some playing time, but we’ve got some work to do for Thursday’s game.”
