ORE BOYS: Blake Heim Signs With Towson University

Lake Oswego senior attackman Blake Heim has withdrawn his verbal commitment to the Air Force Academy and signed a national letter of intent to play at Towson University instead, Lake Oswego head coach Peter Lamb said.

Heim, a first-team All-State selection as a junior, will join West Linn senior Michael Fay at the Maryland-based school.

In his junior season, the 6-foot-4 Heim registered 86 points on 60 goals and 26 assists.

“I think he’ll actually do very well at the next level,” Lamb said. “He can take the checks, and he can play with physical defenseman. He’s going to go to the cage…and he’s an innate finisher. He’s definitely a DI caliber attackman, in my opinion.”
