The Atkins-Ayres show continued to be on full display Sunday afternoon.

Ayres scored seven goals and dished an assist, and Atkins finished with three goals and five assists, as Hillcrest (9-1) rolled to its ninth straight victory.
Senior middie Luke Fechman added five points on four goals and one assist, junior middie Mark Hartman and senior middie Brandon Martin each dished a pair of assists, and junior middie Aaron Kern and sophomore attackman Blake Byrd both scored once for Hillcrest.
In defeat, Ben Eldredge scored three goals for C.E. Byrd (1-2), which dropped its second straight.
Hillcrest led 6-1 at the end of the first quarter, 8-2 at halftime and 10-5 going into the fourth quarter.
“We’re spending a lot of time in the penalty box,” Hillcrest head coach Bill Elliott said. “We’ve got to step that, but other than that I’m pleased with the way we’re playing.”
