Chandler senior middie Andrew Muscara has rescinded his verbal commitment to play NCAA Division II lacrosse at Mesa State College and signed a national letter of intent to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at the University of Vermont.

Muscara, the No. 6 ranked senior in the West in the last WSL Elite 25 individual player rankings, helped lead Chandler to the Arizona Youth Lacrosse League Division I state championship game this past spring.

“I took a visit and loved the campus,” Muscara said. “It kind of blew me away how much I enjoyed it, enjoyed the team and enjoyed how there wasn’t a West Coast stereotype, like there is on some teams. It seemed like everybody was just going in the right direction.”
