Mountain Vista senior Adam Hachtel has committed to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at the Air Force Academy.

Hachtel is a 6-foot-3, 185-pound middie and was named second-team, All-Conference in the highly-competitive Continental League last season.

“He’s a big, strong athlete who runs well, has a great first step and is a solid defender,” Mountain Vista head coach Jose Trujillo said. “He’s strong on ground balls and has good field vision.”

Trujillo said he believes Hachtel has potential to be a strong college player.

“I think he will do well,” Trujillo said. “He’s the prototype size and has the athletic ability.”
