Adrenaline High Rollers Set to Kick Off

Max Gradinger and Geoff Worley recently were named two of the four co-captains for Vermont’s 2010 lacrosse team.
What do those two have in common other than hailing from California? They both are alumni of the prestigious Adrenaline High Rollers camp.
And so are Villanova attackman C.J. Small, another California native, Johns Hopkins middie Hunter Rodgers, a graduate of Brophy Prep in Arizona, and Maryland attackman Madison Fiore, who hails from Las Vegas.
This year, the event will take place Nov. 20-22 in Whittier, Calif., and will include players from across the West. California, Arizona, Texas, Oregon and Washington, respectively, will provide the most participants, as those states have the most high school programs in the West.
But there will be representatives from every pocket of lacrosse in the West, from Las Vegas to Minnesota and Colorado to Canada. The Adrenaline High Rollers is a WSL Elite 25 sanctioned event.
“We did our best to represent not only the established pockets but also the up-and-coming areas,” Adrenaline Tournament Coordinator Rory Doucette said.
Players, who must be recommended by their high school coaches, will not stay with their club teams, as is the case at some tournaments. Instead, they’ll be divided equally among 12 teams – eight made up of juniors and seniors and four made up of freshmen and sophomores.
The players will play games in front of a large group of college recruiters – approximately 20-25 from Division I programs, about five each from Division II and Division III programs and others from Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association squads.
