The Arizona Youth Lacrosse League has suspended 19 players who participated in a bench-clearing brawl during the fourth quarter of last week’s Mountain Pointe-Desert Mountain game, the league announced Saturday in a news release.

All 19 players will have to sit out two games, and both teams will be sanctioned with a forfeit loss for the contest. Mountain Pointe was leading Desert Mountain, 8-7, when the fight broke out.

All goals during the game have been disallowed, and all 19 players have been put on probation for the rest of the season. Both teams have also been put on probation.

“The players who were ejected for participating in the brawl at the end of the game noted above brought dishonor and embarrassment to their teams, their families and this league,” reads an Arizona Youth Lacrosse League news release.
